Chocolate Cake






ingredients
  • 175g self-raising flour , sifted
  • 175g unsalted butter , completely softened
  • 175g golden caster sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 300ml pot double cream

FOR THE GANACHE ICINg

  • 100g butter , cubed
  • 100g dark chocolate , chopped plus extra to decorate


This recipe calls for:
1 (4-oz.) package of Baker's Sweetened Chocolate
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
4 eggs whites
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
